English Synopsis
Based on the true story of Jocelyn Quivrin’s meeting with Éric Rohmer, the film chronicles the meeting of Henri Renaud (Pio Marmaï) and Cédric Rovère (Michael Lonsdale) and the collaboration and nascent friendship that emerges between them. Henri is a young would-be actor who thinks of cinema only in terms of Hollywood-style action blockbusters; Cédric is an acclaimed and highly literary film-maker about to shoot his very last film, The Romance of Astrea and Celadon, an adaptation of a seventeenth-century pastoral novel.
