Erin DONOGHUE BROOKE

Erin Donoghue Brooke is an Honours English undergraduate student at the University of Victoria in British Columbia, Canada. Thanks to the generous support of a Mitacs Globalink Research Award, Erin was able to travel to Université Paul-Valéry Montpellier 3 to work as an intern on the Shakespeare on Screen in Francophonia database between April and July 2017. Mitacs is a Canadian organization that creates partnerships between international universities and post-secondary students of all levels and allows them to participate in research projects abroad. Besides Shakespeare and film, Erin is interested in representations of animals in medieval literature, ecocriticism, and women's literature. She will defend her graduating thesis on Chaucer's allegorical birds in Spring 2018.
