English Synopsis
A young woman (Dominique Sanda) jumps out of a window. Her husband (Guy Frangin), next to her corpse, reminisces about their short-lived marriage, trying to find the reason for her act. As an impoverished student, the gentle woman married a pawnbroker. After a few illusory days of happiness, she gradually felt more and more trapped in her husband’s cloistered lifestyle and the marriage started to crumble. The pawnbroker suspected that she was unfaithful.
