English Synopsis
In Vienna, the handsome Éric Walter (Jean Marais) enjoys fame as a tenor. His wife, the opera star Marie Koukawska (Denise Noël), has left him. He attempts to alleviate his suffering by entertaining brief relationships with women. He also teaches in a music and dance school, where virtually all his female pupils are in love with him, especially the bubbly Sophie Dimater (Brigitte Bardot) and the shy and sad Elis Petersen (Isabelle Pia).
