SCHAUNARD: Do you remember Romeo and Juliet?

SCHAUNARD: No, you don’t get it. I met a girl from a good family. But for some reason her father can’t stand me and has threatened to kill me. The girl’s name is Juliet, and by chance there’s a balcony in her bedroom. I’m borrowing the bird so if I’m in her room in the morning, it’ll wake me up before the old guy gets up. I’d be grateful if you could call me Romeo Montague from now on. What do you think of my idea?

MARCEL MARX : Bien sûr. C’était un grand philosophe.

SCHAUNARD : Te souviens-tu de Roméo et Juliette ?

SCHAUNARD : Alors tu ne comprends pas. J’ai rencontré une fille de bonne famille. Mais pour certaines raisons son père ne me supporte pas et il a menacé de me tuer. La fille s’appelle Juliette, et par hasard dans sa chambre il y a un balcon. Je suis venu emprunter l’oiseau pour que chaque matin dans sa chambre il me réveille avant que le vieux ne se lève. Je te serais reconnaissant si tu m’appelais désormais du nom de Roméo Montague. Comment trouves-tu mon projet ?
