Bernard Dimanche is trying to seduce Joséphine by presenting himself to her auditions. The day before, he was hired by her assistant as an extra in an advert, for which he is now wearing a bear’s costume. He attempts to show off in front of Riley, a famous American director, by (mis)quoting Shakespeare.
HENRY RILEY : OK, what’s next? Bernard the Bear!*
BERNARD DIMANCHE : You know, I work Shakespeare in London.* (Stares at his empty paw, imitating Hamlet looking at the skull in his hand) "If music be the food of love, give me excess of it, as it by all the appetite may sicken, and so die."*

HENRY RILEY : OK, what’s next ? Bernard the Bear !*
BERNARD DIMANCHE : You know, I work Shakespeare in London.* (Il contemple sa patte vide, imitant Hamlet qui regarde le crâne dans sa main) « If music be the food of love, give me excess of it, as it by all the appetite may sicken, and so die. »*
