DIRECTOR: Go ahead.

ACTOR: Okay, so, Lear is in the wilderness, alone, desperate, caught in a storm.

(Meanwhile, the American actor is being made up by the make-up artist)

ACTOR: Tremble, thou wretch! Tremble, thou criminal! Tremble, thou impious! Tremble, thou perjured!

DIRECTOR: Thank you.

(Unable to decide, the director asks to see the auditioning actors in costume. When they show up on the ice, it turns out only one of them can ice-skate. The director picks him)
